How to Buy a Licensed Gun in India
Owning a real firearm in India is a privilege granted through a strict process. Here is how it works and how we fit in.
Step 1 — Check eligibility
You must be an Indian citizen, 21 or older, of sound mind with no criminal record, and show a genuine reason: sport shooting, crop protection or self-defence. Applications go to your district licensing authority (usually via the NDAL portal or collector's office).
Step 2 — Documents & verification
- Identity + address proof, photographs
- Proof of genuine reason (club membership, land records, threat perception)
- Medical fitness certificate
- Police verification and background check
Step 3 — Wait, then buy
Timelines run from a few months to over a year depending on the state. Once the license booklet is issued with your approved bore, you may purchase — e.g. a .32 revolver, .45 pistol or 12-bore shotgun from our licensed range. The purchase is entered on your license; ammunition quotas apply.
How SuperArms helps
We do not sell firearms online. On WhatsApp we confirm the exact model, price and paperwork, verify your license, and complete the transfer as per the Arms Act. No license, no sale — no exceptions.
Disclaimer: procedures differ by state and change over time. Confirm with your licensing authority.
